Finding the song behind an "original sound" in project update videos

A small note for teams that post project updates as short vertical videos.

A lot of ecosystem recap clips on TikTok, Reels and Shorts use a track that's only labeled "original sound". If you want to reuse the same mood in your own update, you first need the real song title and artist, so you can check whether it's in the platform's commercial library or needs a license.

What I do: paste the video link into ClipMelody. It runs audio fingerprinting and gives you the song in a few seconds. After that it's a normal licensing check.

This isn't about governance. It just saves time for whoever makes the community videos.
